Day 1Arrival at Colombo - Dambulla
You will be greeted at the airport by one of our very own chauffeurs and will be taken to Dambulla . Dambulla is a large town, situated in the Matale District, Central Province of Sri Lanka, situated 148 km (92 mi) north-east of Colombo and 72 km (45 mi) north of Kandy. On the way to Dambulla you could visit The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is situated northwest of the town of Kegalle, halfway between the present capital Colombo and the ancient royal residence Kandy. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Wildlife Department in a 25 acre coconut property adjoining the Maha Oya River. The orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to the many orphaned Elephants found in the jungles of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay at Dambulla .
Day 2Dambulla - Kandy (80km/3 hrs )
After breakfast proceed for Kandy . Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It's set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession. Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.Overnight stay at Kandy.
Day 3Kandy SS
After breakfast proceed for Cultural Show. Cultural show is one of the most famous event / sightseeing available for the foreigners in their visit to Sri Lanka. This spontaneous event upheld the Sri Lankan Folk-lore dance which prevailed from the history. It shows the uniqueness of the Sri Lankan dance performances and the drummers who are very unique to Sri Lanka. As the final event in the Cultural show, walking on fire is done with the everlasting faith towards the god. Roam around in this beautiful city in the evening as the weather is very pleasant pretty much throughout the year. Kandy is the home for best of the gem museums, wooden craft factories and silk factories. Overnight stay at Kandy.
Day 4Kandy - Bentota (180 km/ 4hrs 50 min )
After breakfast proceed for Bentota . Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Its long Bentota Beach stretches north, where it becomes a sandy strip known as Paradise Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon. Coral-rich dive sites include Canoe Rock. On Bentota River, centuries-old Galapota Temple has a large Buddha statue. Southeast is Lunuganga, the estate and gardens of architect Geoffrey Bawa. Northeast is his brother Bevis's Brief Garden. Day 5Bentota SS
After breakfast proceed for Bentota (WATER SPORT ACTIVITIES ). Sri Lanka water sport lies directly on the Bentota River. There are following activities like Windsurfing, Surfing, Water Skiing, Wakeboarding, Bodyboarding, Banana Ride, Tube Ride, Jet-Ski, Deep Sea Fishing, River Fishing, Snorkeling, Diving, River Cruises.(OPTIONAL COST ). Day 6Bentota - Colombo (82 km/2 hrs
After having breakfast proceed for Colombo. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. It was made the capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815, and its status as capital was retained when the nation became independent in 1948. In 1978, when administrative functions were moved to Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Colombo was designated as the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Famous landmarks in Colombo include Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, Beira Lake,Colombo Racecourse, Planetarium, University of Colombo, Mount Lavinia beach, Nelum Pokuna Theatre, Colombo Lotus Tower (under construction) as well as the National Museum. Overnight stay at Colombo.
Day 7Departure Transfer
After breakfast proceed for departure. You will be taken to Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your flight back home.
